Minster School Summer Fair

On Saturday 13th July, Beverley Minster School will be holding their Summer Fair from 2pm to 5pm.

Lots of fun and activities for planned for the whole family, including donkey rides, rugby try-outs, stalls, BBQ, Kingston Swing Lindy Hop Group, puppet show and much more.

Free Activities

You could try dance or drama with Stage Coach, rugby with Beverley Braves or tent building with Kids Takeover. Shoot laser guns with Yorkshire Pentathlon, identify birds with RSPB, grab a bit of fruit from Tesco's stall or join in the dance with Kingston Swing Lindy Hop group. You can even climb on board a real fire engine!

Empty Your Piggy Banks

A mermaid will be appearing on the playground and your challenge is to fill the drawing with coins to make a piece of coin art. It'll be 20p for the chocolate coin toss, Splat the Rat or biscuit decorating and 50p for 2 rings on the jam jar hoopla, a lucky dip or (back by popular demand) painting the van!

Sustainability

The fair is following in Glastonbury's footsteps! Minster School are trying to reduce single use plastics by using paper cups and corn starch glasses. They will be selling their new Beverley Minster School metal water bottles at the cost of £4.50. Anyone with their own water bottle will receive free water or squash and there will be discounts for anyone bringing their own cups for tea or coffee. Waste will be separated into recycling and general waste.

Time To Get the Apron on!

There will be a cake competition, judged by the school's cook at 2.30pm. Bring your bakes for a chance of winning. There will be a prize for both adult and children’s entries. Afterwards, the cakes will be sold on the cake stall.

Any Spare Plants or Books?

The plant stall would be happy for to receive any donations. Bring them to the school or on the day of the fair. If you would still like to donate some books, adult or children's, just bring them in!

Good luck to everyone organising the event and Beverley Town Council hopes that everyone attending has a wonderful time.
