3rd November 2018 - The Great War Remembered

A concert from Beverley Minster commemorating the centenary of the Armistice in 1918

on Saturday 3rd November 2018

at 2pm

Join Beverley Town Council in the anniversary of the Armistice commemorations, remembering the bravery of those who fought, lived and died in the First World War. We continue to honour all those who served, died and were affected by the war both at home and overseas. We will give thanks for peace and for those that returned, and remember the sacrifice of the soldiers who died and all those affected by war.

Performing:

Fallen Leaves - Excerpts from the life and times of the courage and commitment of men and women from Yorkshire and the East Riding in particular using songs and sketches and words from Other Lives Productions bringing uplifting stories full of comedy and courage discovered in the darkest of times.

Humberside Police Concert Band - A repertoire of period music.

Four Candles - Performing beautiful music and song from the period.

Cherie Lawrence - Performing sing-a-long songs of the time to join in with.
