Britain In Bloom UK Finalist 2018

Town Competition 2017

Beverley in Bloom is a voluntary organisation, which works to provide communal floral displays, planters and baskets throughout the town. The team work closely with Beverley Town and East Riding of Yorkshire Councils to brighten up Beverley for residents and visitors alike.

The Town Competition

This is an opportunity for residents, businesses and community organisations to enter a competition to celebrate the brightest and best gardens and displays in town. To enter, all you have to do is complete this form and return it to Beverley Town Council (details overleaf).

The deadline for entries is 19th June 2017.

You will be contacted by a member of the Beverley in Bloom Team to confirm your entry.   Judging will take place between mid July and end of August.

If you are entering under the residential or community categories, we will arrange a time for the judges to visit your garden or project.

If you submit an entry under the business or hospitality categories, a specific visit time will not be given, as the majority of entries will be shop fronts, beer gardens, etc., meaning no special access to the property will be required. However, we can make arrangements with you if necessary,

Each entry will be judged by two members of the team, who will each give a score out of 20 points, meaning there is a maximum possible score of 40 points.  You will be awarded one of the following:

36 – 40 points = GOLD          26 – 35 points = SILVER GILT

16 – 25 points = SILVER         1 – 15 points = BRONZE

After judging has taken place you will be invited to a ceremony on 30th October 2017, at which you will find out how well you did and be presented with a certificate.

Good luck and we look forward to receiving your entry form - downloadable here
