10th October - Tesco Bags of Help "Meet the Funder"

Tesco Bags of Help 'Meet the Funder Day'

Bags of Help is Tesco’s exciting local community grant scheme  where the money raised by plastic carrier bags sales is being used to fund thousands of local projects in communities right across the UK. Projects that bring benefit to their community will get the green light – these range from improving community buildings and outdoor spaces to buying new equipment, training coaches or volunteers and hosting community events.

38 projects voted on in this store have received £132,000 since 2016, including several of our local schools. 1207 projects in Yorkshire and The Humber have received £4 million since 2016.

On Wednesday 10th October we are holding our ‘Meet the Funder Day’. The event is aimed at community groups, sports clubs, charities and schools from the Beverley area and is an opportunity to discuss any potential applications with the community charity Groundwork, who administer the scheme on our behalf.

If you think your group or project could benefit from funding of between £1000 and £4000 and would like help with developing your project or advice on your application, then here is your opportunity. Please note that even if you have benefited from Tesco Bags of Help previously, you can still re-apply for a different project.

To book your place please email me and let me know what time you would like. We are taking 15 minute slots from:

10am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 4pm

Please book early to avoid disappointment by contacting David Ryley, Community Champion, Tesco Beverley
