Thank you for joining us!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Great Beverley Get Together - between 450 and 500 people came along to enjoy the day.

Organised by Beverley Town Council in partnership with the Beverley Fringe Festival, this was part of the third national Great Get Together, inspired by Jo Cox.  It was a chance for Beverley Town Council to bring residents and visitors together in Coronation Gardens on North Bar Within to celebrate our great community.

Newly elected Councillors warmly welcomed residents and visitors to the event. Inspired by the White Rabbit of St Mary's Church, youngsters enjoyed the Mad Hatter Tea Party! Morris dance troupes and acoustic music, kindly supplied by the Beverley Fringe, brought a festival atmosphere.  It was also an opportunity for people to explore Coronation Garden, which is a something of a hidden gem and full of local history.

In addition, staff from Lakeland showed children how to decorate cookies, Beverley Rotary Club raising funds for good causes, Beverley in Bloom let people know of their work and the R-volution team promoted the services they provide to the community.  Plus residents brought along picnics and everyone enjoyed flapjack donated by Vanessa's Deli. Thank you one and all!

It was the perfect way to spend a sunny Saturday and celebrate all that is good about the Beverley community.
