TOWN COUNCIL OFFICE CLOSED: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Beverley Town Council office is currently closed. COMMUNITY RESPONSE HUB: A COVID-19 community response hub has been established by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and HEY Smile Foundation, which covers the whole of the East Riding and works alongside existing charities, voluntary organisations and community groups, as well as groups set up on social media platforms to provide coordinated help and support. TOWN COUNCIL SUPPORT FOR FOOD BANK: Beverley Town Councillors have unanimously agreed to allocate a £5,000 lifeline to the East Yorkshire Food Bank. They are also encouraging residents to give further donations to match this financial amount, at a time when the Food Bank is working harder than ever to support vulnerable residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. SKATEPARK: The Town Council Skate Park, located a the ERYC Beverley Leisure Complex, is now closed to the public until further notice. The police are keeping an eye on the site and have the powers to take action against anyone gathering unlawfully.
