Rallying call for the people of Beverley to help the people of Turkey

Local businessman and restaurateur Ali Tekce is appealing to the people of Beverley to help provide urgent humanitarian support following the recent earthquakes in Turkey.

Mr Tekce, who originally comes from Turkey, still has family in the country, many of whom were near the earthquake, which has devastated vast regions.

He is now one of the key organisers of the East Yorkshire to East Turkey Emergency Earthquake Appeal, and is calling for donations ranging from bedding and blankets, to clothing and hygiene projects that will be sent over to those in need.

Members of the public can drop items off at Anatolia, his restaurant at 2 Wednesday Market, Beverley.
